Announcing NotePass
End-to-end encrypted Private AI: no one else can see your conversation, not even us.

Today, we announced NotePass, the first app that gives people access to end-to-end encrypted, Private AI agents. Sign up here.
We’ll outline in more detail about how NotePass works in a future blog post, but for those curious, our technology is similar to Apple’s recently announced Private Cloud Compute. We offer end-to-end encryption that terminates inside of a secure enclave extended to the GPU using NVIDIA Confidential Computing. We re-encrypt using a session-specific key before sending anything back, effectively extending the end-to-end guarantee all the way back to the original device.
We believe that the future of AI is Private AI. You can read more about why here. But we understand that can be abstract, so we’re also highlighting a number of concrete use cases that demonstrate how privacy can unlock the power of AI for people.
Abortion Access
In 2022, Facebook was served with a warrant and turned over chat messages that were used to convict a young woman of an abortion. Privacy is essential when it comes to abortion access and this could not happen with NotePass: end-to-end encryption means we cannot see your conversations, even if we were served with a warrant.
Mental Health Stigma
Disclosing treatment for depression can cause a pilot to lose their ability to fly. The FAA is essentially discouraging people to seek support. Now with NotePass, pilots can get support from end-to-end encrypted Private AI without fear of professional repercussions.
Whistleblowing
Protecting whistleblower rights is critical to holding the powerful accountable. But whistleblowers often struggle to know how to do so safely. Now with NotePass.ai, those that witness crimes can get confidential whistleblowing information from end-to-end encrypted Private AI without fear.
